Fees

Every fee, in plain words.

  • Does it cost anything to join?

No. Joining is free for artists and Hosts, with no monthly fee.

  • What do artists pay?

Artists pay a 5% service fee on the room or service price and a processing fee, shown before you pay, plus sales tax (IVU) where it applies. A house engineer and extras added to a studio booking carry no service fee.

  • Is there a payment processing fee?

Yes. The artist pays a 2.9% + $0.30 processing fee on the total (the price, the service fee and IVU). It's the same for every way to pay, shows on its own line before you pay, and is refunded in the same share as the rest. Hosts never pay it.

  • Is there sales tax?

Sales tax (IVU) is added on its own line where it applies. You see it before you pay.

  • What do Hosts pay?

Hosts pay 10% of the room or service price, taken from the payout.

  • Is there a founding offer?

Founding studios and pros in Puerto Rico pay no Host fee for their first 6 months.

  • When is my card charged?

When you request a session, the amount is held on your card. It's charged only when the studio accepts; a decline or an expired request releases the hold.

  • Can I cancel a booking?

Yes. Each studio shows its cancellation policy before you pay: Flexible, Standard or Strict. You get back what the policy allows, including the same share of the service fee. If the studio cancels, you get a full refund.

  • When do I get paid?

For a studio session, 24 hours after it ends. For a service, when the artist approves your delivery, or 3 days after you deliver. Stripe then sends it to your bank on its usual schedule.
